Dolphin Browser integration
CMarks can integrate your Chrome bookmarks into Dolphin Browser and Dolphin Browser Beta.
Please note the following limitations:
Please note the following limitations:
- Dolphin will automatically ignore successive bookmarks in the same folder with the same webpage as another bookmark in the same folder.
- CMarks will sort the Bookmarks the same as your preferred sorting option (see settings, application default, sort order), but Dolphin will always sort Folders alphabetically at the top of each Folder.
- Dolphin will only allow the integration if started from YOU pressing a button inside of Dolphin - CMarks can't perform the integration from the CMarks app or from an automated sync. Basically, you have to open Dolphin and click on the Add-On for CMarks to perform the integration. Unfortunately this is a restriction of the way Dolphin Add-Ons are allowed to work.
- The Integration is one-way only. This is due to limitations in the amount of data that Dolphin allows to Add-Ons - there simply aren't enough fields to be able to accurately compare before/after and determine what has been changed and this is a fundamental pre-requisite of any two-way syncing process.
- CMarks will integrate all bookmarks into a new "CMarks" folder in the root of Dolphin. This is because Dolphin already has it's own "Bookmark Bar" and "Other Bookmarks" folders and, as mentioned above, CMarks cannot perform a two-way sync on those folders.
- Dolphin does not allow the webpage icons to be integrated - you will only see icons if you have already visited that exact same webpage in the Dolphin Browser itself.
- If you want to create a new bookmark in Dolphin, simply "share" your bookmark into CMarks. Once CMarks has created the bookmark in Chrome, just click on the "CMarks Integrate" Add-On to copy the new bookmark into the Dolphin bookmark hierarchy.
1. Start Dolphin
Open Dolphin Browser or Dolphin Browser Beta.
2. Open Add-Ons page
Open the Add-Ons page in Dolphin. You can either swipe from right edge of the screen inwards to the middle, or press menu then select the Add-Ons icon.
If you click on the settings icon in the top left corner of the Add-Ons bar, you can get some additional details about the CMarks Add-On.

3. Start the Add-On
Click on the "CMarks Integrate" icon in the Dolphin Add-Ons page.
An informational screen appears as shown left - this just reminds you how the integration works, but importantly includes an "OK" button which is the trigger for Dolphin to ask for the integration to commence.
